With its castle and unequalled Norman cathedral (a World Heritage Centre), Durham is an ideal holiday centre for both touring and relaxing.
The College of St Hild and St Bede is part of the University of Durham. NORVIS has a long and very happy association with the college, and we are always made to feel extremely welcome by the domestic and administrative staff. It is within easy reach of Durham city centre and the bus and railway stations, and close to the A1(M) motorway. A short, pleasant riverside walk from the College leads right to the heart of this ancient city.
Please note that the Henry Dyson Room (on the map) has now been renamed the Lord Glenamara Room.
NORVIS XLVIII – Saturday 28th July to Saturday 4th August 2018
