The dates of NORVIS 2026 are 1st – 8th August.

Locations are close together so we have opportunities for formal and informal activities involving all players. The school site has lovely grounds and there is magnificent countryside on the doorstep.
The boarding school accommodation is not, of course, a hotel and there are no ensuite rooms. The advantage of ‘living in’ is that you have access to your room all day and, with so much to do at NORVIS, you don’t use valuable time travelling. Indeed, we include lunch and dinner in your fees even if you ‘live out’. Living out is an option and you could consult sources of accommodation such as booking.com, Airbnb.com, VRBO.com, sykescottages.co.uk
It’s often cheaper to go direct to the accommodation to book – ask us if you want more information.
(Please note that the majority of bedrooms and some tuition rooms in the school are upstairs. Please ask our advice if mobility issues might make this difficult for you.)

The pleasant market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham includes tourist attractions such as the castle remains and the Bowes Museum. An enjoyable Wednesday afternoon out might include a trip to Durham City and the wonderful World Heritage Site of Durham Cathedral and Castle.
